It doesn’t happen very often in the regular season, but this season New York football fans will be treated to a Giants vs. Jets game. It was a good move to make this game later in the season, as both teams will hopefully be better than last season, and this game could mean something.
The last time the two teams met was in 2011. In that game, The Giants were victorious with a 29-14 win. In the Giants’ victory, it would lead to the emergence of Victor Cruz, who had a 99-yard touchdown catch just before the half.
Mark Sanchez was the quarterback for the Jets in that game, and he threw the ball 59 times. Whether it is Ryan Fitzpatrick or Geno Smith at quarterback in Week 13, neither of them should be throwing the ball close to 60 times.
A meaningful Giants/Jets game could really spark some great football in MetLife Stadium late in the season.
