Mirza Lifts Spirits

In a surprising turn of events, Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was cleared for basketball activities on Friday. Teletovic, who was ruled out for the season about three months ago because of blood clots on his lungs, was not only cleared but was a full participant in practice Friday, taking part in the whole session. He is still out indefinitely, and will miss the first two games of the series, but the Nets are happy with the progress he has made and has met all their expectations.

While expecting Teletovic to return to form right away would be unfair, his possible return to the team would definitely lift the spirits of a team looking for any kind of spark in a series they know they are at a disadvantage in. He hasn’t played in a game since January 22nd because of the blood clots, but if he gets into a game at any time he will give the Nets a huge boost.

Teletovic will return at some point in this series, and when he does, the Nets will receive a huge boost, even if it is just for a game or two. That will prolong the series, and the long the series goes on the better a chance the Nets have at advancing.

He won’t put up huge stats, but he will provide a spark in at least one game, scoring double-digit points in a Nets victory in Game 3 or 4 in Brooklyn.
