Masahiro Tanaka

Another risky player on the Yankees that could either make or break a fantasy team is pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Last season, there were few pitchers better than Tanaka in the first half of the season, as Tanaka in his first season was making hitters look silly with his great stuff.

In 2014, Tanaka would post a 13-5 record, with an ERA of 2.77, which was hurt a bit late in the season, and the game that he found out he had a tear in his UCL. Tanaka brings the ability to log a lot of innings, and also be able to strikeout batters, as he pitched 136.1 innings, and had 141 strikeouts.

Tanaka decided to take an alternative rehab to his UCL tear, which usually requires Tommy John surgery. With not a lot to go off of with how successful this rehab process will be, Tanaka is a risky pick, but if his arm holds on, he will be in the running for the AL Cy Young award.
