The past three seasons have been difficult for Yankees’ first baseman Mark Teixeira, as injuries have kept him off the field for a large chunk of games. Last season, Teixeira was only able to play in 123 games after playing in just 15 games the season before. There was some good and bad offensively for Teixeira in 2014, as he hit 22 homeruns, but he also only batted .216.
Prior to all the injuries starting in the 2012 season, Teixeira was one of the best fantasy baseball options at first base with the capability to be 30 homerun, 100 RBI player. If Teixeira can stay healthy in 2015 he is certainly worth a look to draft, as he will be towards the end of most drafts due to all the injuries.
