9. Re-signed Stephen Drew

Grade: C+

They didn’t have much of a choice after they traded Prado to the Marlins, but Drew was utterly disappointing in 2014.  He finished with a BA under .200 and an even less amount of fans. Drew knows that he has to do a lot in order to build his value back up, and thats exactly why the Yankees gave him a contract. The Yankees know that, somewhere in Drew, a fire exists. After he rejected to Red Sox qualifying offer of 14 million and signed to the same team for less, and then played so poorly that he signed to the Yankees for even less, there is clearly a motivational factor for Drew to put up numbers. The only thing is, I don’t think anyone in New York wants to see him try.
