  1. Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets are the most recent team to try a land Lopez, as the Nets turned down an offer of JaVale McGee and J.J. Hickson for Lopez.

Denver traded their starting center Timofey Mozgov recently to the Cleveland Cavaliers for two future first-round picks. McGee has been often-injured, and his production doesn’t live up to his large contract, making any interest in the Nets adding him minimal.

Jusuf Nurkic has been starting mostly since the trade of Mozgov, and although he’s been playing well, Lopez would be a big upgrade in Denver.

The Nuggets have no chance of making the playoffs in the Western Conference, but adding Lopez would be a good piece to the puzzle for the Nuggets.
