– High-Powered Offense

Anytime the Penguins are in town, the main concern will be stopping their high-powered offense. This season is no different as the Penguins are ranked 3rd in the NHL in goals per game with 3.0 GPG.

One of the strong points of their offense is their great power play that is ranked 6th in the NHL with a 22.1 success rate.

To no surprise it’s been another great season for the Penguins’ best players in Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. This season, Crosby has 47 points, and leads the team in assists with 35. Malkin is the Penguins’ leading scorer with 49 points, and he leads the team in goals with 19. Stopping these two talented players will be priority No. 1 for the Islanders’ defense.
