The final option for the Jets’ QB job in 2015 is Washington Redskins’ QB Robert Griffin III. Injuries have derailed what was looking like a great future for Griffin. In 2013, after coming off surgery, he missed three games. 2014 wasn’t much better, as an ankle injury, and being benched, would lead to him playing in just nine games.
It is very unclear about who the Redskins would like to be their QB in the future, as they started three different ones in 2014. Griffin cost the Redskins a lot to get him, but if the Jets would like to try and obtain him they certainly would not have to give them the ridiculous amounts of picks that it cost for Griffin.
There is certainly a lot of upside to Griffin if he can stay healthy, and if the price is right for New York, Griffin could be the franchise’s QB for a long time.
