For the Mets, offense has been a major problem in the past few seasons, and with another injured and unproductive season from David Wright, it led to Mets hitters needing to step up.

One of those hitters was second baseman Daniel Murphy, who had a great year in 2014. Murphy led the Mets with a .289 batting average. In addition to his high batting average, Murphy also hit nine homeruns with 57 RBI, and 37 doubles.

Murphy’s future with the Mets is up in the air a bit, but last season was certainly a good one for Murphy, as he made his first career All-Star appearance in 2014.
