The brightest spot of 2014 for New York sports fans was the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr., who was drafted by the Giants with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Beckham Jr. got off to a difficult start to his NFL career with a hamstring injury that cost him valuable time in training camp and the preseason.

Despite being a rookie and missing a very informative time for a young player, Beckham Jr. was able to be a game-changing WR on the field for the Giants. In 12 games, Beckham Jr. caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards with 12 touchdown receptions. He will with almost all certainty be the Offensive Rookie of the Year this season.

Beckham Jr. had a record-breaking 2014 and certainly deserves the top spot on the list, and if he is healthy in 2015, he will be challenging to become one of the best WR’s in the entire NFL.
