2.) Henrik Lundqvist
The Rangers were the most successful team in New York in 2014, as they reached Stanley Cup for the first time since 1994. They have been led by their star goalie Henrik Lundqvist, who has been one of the best goalies in the NHL for years.
Last season in the playoffs, Lundqvist was great with a 13-11 record on the Rangers’ Stanley Cup run. In the playoffs, Lundqvist allowed just 2.14 goals per game with an excellent .927 save percentage.
In the 14-15 season, Lundqvist is once again having a great regular season with a 17-8 record, as the Rangers have a lot of momentum heading into 2015 with Lundqvist in the net.
