For the Mets 2014 was a difficult year knowing that their star pitcher Matt Harvey was likely going to miss the entire season as he recovered from Tommy John surgery, but with him out it led to the emergence of Jacob deGrom.

deGrom took the MLB by storm with a great rookie season that earned him a NL Rookie of the Year award. In 2014, deGrom went 9-6 with an ERA of 2.69 on his way to running away with the NL ROY.

With Harvey back in 2015 alongside Wheeler and deGrom, the Mets will have a very bright and young rotation in the 2015 season.
