8.) Kyle Okposo
Hockey fans around the country have probably heard of Tavares, but another star on the Islanders is Kyle Okposo. Last season was a breakout one for Okposo, as with the injury to Tavares, Okposo led the Islanders in points with 69 in 71 games. Okposo was left off the American Olympic team, which led to a motivated Okposo in the second part of last season.
This season has been another very good one for Okposo, as he is tied with Tavares so far with 32 points. Okposo has been the setup man for the Islanders this season, as he leads the team with 24 assists this season.
