10.) Sheldon Richardson
After a strong rookie season in 2013, when Sheldon Richardson won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award with 42 total tackles and 3.5 sacks, he was able to avoid the sophomore slump with a strong 2014 season.
In 2014, Richardson led the Jets with eight sacks, and was fourth on the team in tackles with 66. Richardson like Wilkerson hoped to be a Pro Bowl player this season, but instead he will be an alternative with Wilkerson.
Richardson is one of the best young defensive lineman in the NFL, and will continue to anchor a strong Jets’ rushing defense even with Rex Ryan being fired.
