14.) Lucas Duda

The best hitter for the Mets in 2014 was Lucas Duda, who after the Mets traded Ike Davis to the Pittsburgh Pirates, Duda became the everyday first baseman, and he thrived in that role.

Last season, Duda led the Mets in homeruns with 30, RBI with 92, and OBP with .349. 2014 was a year of career-highs almost n every offensive category for Duda. The Mets have desperately been need a power-hitter like Duda, and in 2014 he was third in the National League behind only Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo in homeruns.
