. . . PASS DEFENSE. A+

The Giants battered the Titans passing game, no matter who was under center. Zach Mettenberger started the game, but was unable to finish it. The Giants constantly hit him, and he re-aggravated his shoulder injury in the process. He also looked to tweak his ankle at some point as well. He finished the game 14-24 for 125 yards and one interception, and absorbing five sacks. He also fumbled twice, losing one that was recovered by Markus Kuhn, who returned it for a touchdown.

Jake Locker didn’t fair much better under center, as he completed 9-11 passes for 81 yards and one interception of his own. He also was under immense pressure, taking three sacks.

On the afternoon, the Giants pass rush was outstanding registering eight sacks for 60 lost yards. Jason Pierre-Paul, Devon Kennard and Damontre Moore all had two each. It was the second consecutive strong performance from the Giants rookie linebacker. The Giants also had eight quarterback hits.

Quintin Demps and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had the interceptions for the Giants. The Rodgers-Cromartie interception would have been a pick-six had Moore not had a boneheaded penalty during the return, as he unnecessarily hit Mettenberger.
