C-. Jason Smith has been a bit of a disappointment with the Knicks after coming over as a free agent. He is a fit in the Triangle Offense because of his skill set, but the irregular playing time and role have caused peaks and valleys in his play. He has had some strong scoring games, but they are too far and few between as more often than not you don’t even know he is on the court.. . . JASON SMITH

Inc.. Andrea Bargnani has yet to suit up for the Knicks this season, and he has no timetable set for his return. He looked ready to play about two weeks ago, but suffered a setback injuring his calf after recovering from his hamstring injury. The Knicks won’t rush him back, and there are serious questions to if he would really even help the team at this point.. . . ANDREA BARGNANI

For the sake of the article, Amar’e Stoudemire is being listed as center, but he has been playing power forward most of the season. If you add him to this group, it goes from most underwhelming to arguably the best performing one; Stoudemire has performed that consistently and well even in kind of limited playing time. Acy has been possibly the biggest surprise for the Knicks this season and has had a bigger impact than anyone could have guessed.
