The Yankees were certainly interested in Santana before the New York Mets were able to snag him away from the Minnesota Twins, and although Santana isn’t the pitcher he once was, teams will be tempted to take a shot on the 35-year old coming off surgery.

Santana hasn’t pitched in the last two season due to injuries, but the 2007 AL Cy Young award winner is still looking to pitch. The price will be very low for Santana due to his injuries, but if the Yankees are looking to add depth to their rotation, Santana if he’s healthy can do that.
