Francisco Liriano

Liriano is the second best left-handed pitcher available this offseason, and with no lefties in the rotation for the Yankees it makes sense to believe that Cashman will be going hard after at least one of them. In his past two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Liriano has bounced back from some rocky seasons with two very good ones, and was a main reason for the Pirates making the playoffs two straight seasons.

The price for Liriano will likely be high, as he is coming off of two seasons with an ERA under 3.50, and in 2012 had 16 wins for the Pirates. Durability is certainly an issue with Liriano however, as in the last two seasons he has only pitched in a hair over 160 innings.
