Justin Masterson

This is certainly one of the most low risk high reward options if the price is right for the Yankees if they elect to go after Masterson. Last season was a difficult one for the young right-hander, as with the Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Cardinals he struggled with a 7-9 record and an ERA of 5.88.

Masterson however has shown the ability to be a very good major league pitcher in his young career, as in 2011 and 2013 he had winning records with an ERA under 3.50 in the American League, which is impressive. If the Yankees think that they can get Masterson to his 2011 or 2013 self, they could be getting a steal.
