Max Scherzer

Scherzer is the best right-hander on the market, and could very well be the best pitcher available. He turned down a big offer from the Tigers before the season, and will be expecting a monster contract, which is one of the reasons that the Yankees could be on his wish list.

He was able to follow up his 2013 Cy Young season with another great one in 2014, as Scherzer led the AL in wins with 18, and was third in strikeouts with 252. A power pitcher like Scherzer makes a lot of sense in Yankees Stadium with his ability to strikeout batters out.
