10 Options For New York Yankees’ Rotation in 2015

The New York Yankees will be entering the 2015 MLB season with some questions in their starting rotation, as they will likely have spots that will need to be filled before the season starts. There are few sure things with the Yankees’ rotation in 2015, as Masahiro Tanaka figures to be the Opening Day starter, but he did tear his UCL ligament, which is a problem that could flare up for the Yankees at any time.

Michael Pineda should be the Yankees’ No. 2 starter, but he has had his share of injuries over the past few seasons, making him a hard person to rely on. C.C Sabathia missed almost all of last season with a knee injury, and although he is expected to be back in 2015, Sabathia has not been anywhere near the ace he used to be, and can’t be counted on.

Ivan Nova was in the Yankees rotation last season before Tommy John surgery ended his season, but he won’t be expected back until later in the season. David Phelps was in the rotation last year, and depending on how free agency goes, he may have to be in it again in 2015.
