As we reach the end of July, let’s take a look at how the New York Islanders’ offseason has unfolded thus far.

After a mid-season coaching change in 2016-17, the New York Islanders had to make a decision this offseason on who would lead their team moving forward.

After that, they had to deal with the obstacle that was the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.

Throughout the offseason, the Isles made multiple trades and then made a few selections in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

It’s been a busy offseason so far and there may be more to come. Here’s the mid-summer update on what has happened thus far.
