The New York Giants struck gold with standout wide out Sterling Shepard. This year he will prove to be a superstar in the NFL.

New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard is going to be a perennial Pro-Bowler in the National Football League.

Shepard is a compliment to Odell Beckham Jr., but he can be a number one guy almost anywhere else. The man is a goldmine of talent.

Take a look at Shepard’s stats from last season. The rookie averaged 10.5 yards per catch, on 65 receptions, and raked in 8 touchdowns. Not too bad at all for a first year player.

If he can continue to grow, and those numbers go up, Shepard and Beckham Jr. are going to be the best receiver tandem in the league.

Most defenses are going to put a safety over the top of Beckham Jr., and rookie Evan Engram. Both of those players are good enough to merit help coverage. This will leave Shepard on an island for most downs.

Shepard has “getaway from the cops” type speed, and sneaky strength. It makes matching up against him very difficult. If you press, he will push by you, and if you play off, he will break your ankles.

Eli Manning is going to have a field day with this group, but most of all, he is going to help develop Shepard into a superstar.

If Manning can continue to find Shepard, it will help turn the second year player into the next New York Giants great. He has the hands, the speed, and the talent, all he needs is the ball in his hands.

Next: The Cowboys should be worried about the Giants

Hell, he even rushed for 31 yards on three attempts. He is too dynamic with the ball.

Get ready for the next great New York because he is about to be in full form in 2017.
