The New York Giants drafting RB Wayne Gallman out of Clemson is a great move. The former Tiger could change the Giants backfield scheme for years to come.

The New York Giants drafting Wayne Gallman is potentially the best move they made in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Gallman comes into the NFL with a great resume. Coming off of back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons, Gallman is poised to be a valuable asset to the New York Giants. He is also a proven winner with a National Championship under his belt.

Gallman is known to be a power back. His speed gets overlooked, but in the open field he is tough handle.

The Giants need a player like this in their offense. It’s been too long without a running game, and Gallman has the potential to be the player to bring the ground game back to New York.

Paul Perkins is the Giants current primary back, but Gallman has more potential as a rookie. Perkins deserves hype around him, but Gallman should be the guy.

He runs like a thoroughbred with the force of a freight train. He comes out of a Clemson program that ran a fast-pace spread offense. That is the exact same offense the Giants are implementing with Ben MacAdoo.

His talent running out of the shot gun is very impressive, and the Giants need that type of back. He has great patience coming out of the backfield, something the Giants haven’t seen since Ahmad Bradshaw in his prime.

As much as Perkins proved himself last year, Gallman is the future of the New York Giants. He has a winning pedigree, he runs smart, and he knows the system.

It’s hard to bet against a guy with so much going for him. Lookout New York, there’s a new running back in town.
