New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is turning heads this season. Some have started comparing him to the likes of Derek Jeter. Is that realistic for the 25-year-old?

New York Yankees baseball has found its next golden boy.

The mammoth outfielder known as Aaron Judge has electrified the baseball world just 19 games into the season. He has launched seven long balls, has a canon of an arm, and has brought a spotlight back onto Yankee baseball.

There is speculation that Judge could be the next Derek Jeter, and in some ways, it’s possible. Judge is a dominant power guy, something Jeter never was, but he shows the qualities of a natural born leader.

Judge has the size of an NBA small forward, mixed with an NFL tight end, and he has the bat speed that Jeter did in the early part of his career.

The biggest thing now is for him to grow into a polished veteran outfielder. He has shown that he is capable of leading a team statistically, but now he has to lead vocally.

It might be too early to compare him to Jeter, but it is very realistic.  He shows the same type of poise that Jeter did when he was coming up in the 90s, and he will be that leader in the not so distant future.

Judge is already in the right direction stepping in and producing with Didi Gregorious, and Gary Sanchez on the disabled list. He’s also been the heart of the Yankee lineup with Greg Bird struggling.

If Judge stays on this trend, his value is going to skyrocket as one of the league’s best outfielders. He will become the next great leader to dawn the pinstripes, and we are the lucky generation that gets appreciate greatness being thrust upon us.
