The New York Giants have done a good job this offseason filling the holes on their roster. The Giants did well in free agency despite not having anywhere near the amount of money to spend this offseason as last year.

While they have done well thus far, there is still work to be done reshaping the roster. The Giants will now look to the 2017 NFL Draft to continue filling those holes and make their roster as strong as possible for the 2017 season.

In free agency, the Giants signed a lot of complementary players to fill specific needs. They improved their run blocking with Brandon Marshall and Rhett Ellison. They added depth to the offensive line with D.J. Fluker. The Giants were able to retain all of their main contributors from last season’s defense except Johnathan Hankins, who signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

The needs are still clear for the Giants. They could really use an upgrade at left tackle where Ereck Flowers has struggled for two seasons. Finding a replacement for Hankins on the defensive line is also important. Linebacker is seemingly always a need for the Giants, and this year it is no different. The Giants are also reshaping their running back position, so adding a player in the draft there would not be surprising either.

Will the Giants be able to fill all of these needs in the 2017 NFL Draft? We will have to wait and see. Until then, we can read and fill out mock drafts to try and predict what will happen in the draft. Check out our full seven-round mock draft for the Giants using FanSpeak.com.
