The New York Jets have been extremely active this offseason. The front office is beginning an overhaul of the roster to start a youth movement of sorts. That means that the Jets are purging their roster of plenty of veterans and long-time players.

Last season the Jets saw this process beginning. D’Brickashaw Ferguson retired and Calvin Pace was let go as a free agent. This season the moves continued. Long-time Jets Nick Mangold, Darrelle Revis, and Nick Folk were all cut. Joining them on free agency were veterans Ryan Clady, Breno Giacomini, and Erin Henderson.

The plan is clear for the Jets from the moves they have executed. They are clearing roster space to open up playing time for younger players. At the same time, they are freeing up plenty of cap space so that they can become bigger players in free agency to try and fill some of the holes on their roster.

While it has been busy already, ESPN New York’s Rich Cimini reports that the moves are still going to keep coming. One player that Cimini reported was not in danger of being released, at least for right now, is veteran linebacker, David Harris.

Who else could the Jets be looking to move on from this offseason? Here are five more players that the Jets could look to move this offseason by either releasing them or via trade based on sources reported by Cimini.
