100. 109. 27. Final. 103

The New York Knicks were able to hold on and defeat the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The victory makes it two in a row for the Knicks on the road, as they defeated the Boston Celtics in their last game away from Madison Square Garden. Tonight also snapped a nine-game losing streak when visiting Indiana.

The game started very slowly for the Knicks. The Pacers opened up a big early lead, going ahead by as many as 14 points. The Knicks would finally get things going on the defensive end, outscoring the Pacers 40-28 in the second quarter.

New York would open up a lead as big as 15 points, as they stifled the Pacers in the third quarter as well. The Knicks beat the Pacers 24-17 in the third quarter but crumbled in the fourth quarter.

More from New York Knicks

The Knicks went on a scoring drought that lasted over six minutes, scoring two points from 7:29 left in the fourth quarter through 1:07 left when Carmelo Anthony finally got the Knicks back on the board.

The Pacers are a very strong team at home, so it was not surprising to see mount a comeback. They had the Knicks on the ropes in the waning moments of the game, but the Knicks were able to hold them off and pick up an impressive road victory.

Stars Of The Game

SF Carmelo Anthony, Knicks — Anthony once again bailed the Knicks out at the end of a game. He scored five points to help get the Knicks the lead back once and for all before Courtney Lee iced the game with some free throws. Anthony had yet another efficient game, shooting 9-of-17 overall and 7-of-8 from the foul line en route to 26 points. He also had five rebounds, two assists, and one block.

C Willy Hernangomez, Knicks — Hernangomez has not received consistent minutes this season. But, when he is on the court, he performs well. Tonight was no different. In 24 minutes Hernangomez scored 14 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks. Hernangomez should see more minutes going forward as he outperformed Joakim Noah by miles tonight.

SF Paul George, Pacers — George had an excellent game for the Pacers tonight. He scored a game-high 31 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal. He only made 3-of-10 from the three-point line, which helped the Knicks keep control of the game. George and Anthony went at each other for most of the night and both played well.

C Myles Turner, Pacers — Turner had an outstanding game for Indiana. He outplayed every big man in the game outside of Hernangomez. He had a number of highlight plays, including a putback dunk and some blocks at the rim. He finished the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks.
