The New York Rangers face the Pittsburgh Penguins at the PPG Paints Arena November 21st, 2016. Here is all the information that you will need to watch the game.

The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins continue their rivalry tonight. It is the first matchup of the season and the first time these two teams will face off since the 2016 NHL Playoffs. The Penguins won that series 4-1, eliminated the Rangers with relative ease.

It wouldn’t surprise anyone if these two teams met up once again in the postseason. They are currently two of the best teams in the NHL, as the Rangers are 13-5-1 with 27 points and the Penguins are 11-4-3 with 25 points.

The Rangers have fallen on tough times in recent games. They are riding a two-game losing streak and injuries are beginning to mount. Mika Zibanejad will miss 6-8 weeks after breaking his fibula against the Florida Panthers Sunday. He joins Pavel Buchnevic on the sidelines, who is dealing with a back injury and will miss 2-3 weeks.

More from New York Rangers

Coach Alain Vigneault knows injuries are a part of the game and are ready to deal with the ones the Rangers are facing when talking after the game Sunday. “Every team has injuries. We don’t expect to be any different than anybody else. So, like every coach says in these moments, it’s an opportunity for somebody else to get more ice time and I’m confident that whoever we decide to put in that spot will be able to do the job for us.”

The Penguins are also dealing with some injuries. They played forward Chris Kunitz on injured reserve Monday with a lower-body injury and he is week-to-week. He joins Patric Hornqvist on the sideline, as he deals with a concussion.

Both teams are very talented and should be able to handle injuries better than most teams. But both squads are without key pieces; who can overcome those losses better tonight? We will have to watch the game and find out. Here is all the information you will need to watch the Rangers and Penguins tonight when the puck drops.
