The New York Giants were able to defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Week 11. What are five takeaways from the win?

It was not a pretty Sunday afternoon for the New York Giants, but there were able to come away with a win. All week, the Giants insisted that they would not fall into the classic trap game, but that is exactly what happened.

On the first three drives of the game, the Chicago Bears were able to score on the Giants defense. After such a strong showing on the defensive side of the ball against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football, it was really disappointing to see them come out so flat on the defensive side of the ball.

Due to the suspension to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, the Giants should have had an easy day against the Bears offense, but that was not the case early on. At halftime, the Giants trailed 16-9, but it could have been worse considering their lack of effort.

In the third quarter, the Giants came out and played like they should have to start the game, and they were able to win the quarter 13-0. In the fourth quarter, the Giants got very conservative, but they were able to hold on against a poor Bears team.

The win for the Giants was the fifth straight win of the season, as they are now 7-3 and poised for a playoff spot. It was an ugly win, but a win nonetheless. Here are five takeaways from the game on Sunday.
