The New York Knicks face the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on November 11th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics renew their longstanding rivalry tonight in Boston. Tonight is the first of four matchups between the teams this season. The Knicks enter the game with a 3-4 record, picking up a win over the Brooklyn Nets. The Celtics come into the game with a 3-4 record and have been struggling of late.

The Celtics enter the game on a three-game losing streak. They have struggled mightily on the defensive end, giving up at least 118 points in each of the losses. Defense will be the name of the game tonight, as the Knicks have also struggled on that side of the ball.

The Knicks have struggled defending the pick-and-roll. The Celtics have enough versatility that they could exploit that shortcoming. The Celtics have explosive scoring point guard Isaiah Thomas as the starting point guard and the ascending Avery Bradley next to him make for a difficult task in the backcourt.

But with the injuries the Celtics have the Knicks should have a huge advantage in the front court. Jae Crowder is out about another week because of an ankle injury and Al Horford is out because of a concussion. Those are unfortunate injuries for the Celtics but ones the Knicks have to take advantage of.

More from New York Knicks

Crowder is the Celtics best perimeter defender and always gives Carmelo Anthony fits. With him sidelined, they have been starting rookie Jaylen Brown. While Brown has a lot of upside, he is someone Anthony should take full advantage of offensively.

In the middle, Tyler Zeller has been starting for Horford. While a solid player, he does not possess the same skill set that Horford does. Horford can initiate the offense and provides more versatility offensively. With him out, Joakim Noah‘s job in the middle became much easier.

While the Celtics are still a deep team they are nowhere near as good without Crowder and Horford. Just look at their last three games and the struggles are evident. While the game is on the road, this is one the Knicks need to win. This also the beginning of a difficult back-to-back for the Knicks, as they face the Toronto Raptors on the road tomorrow night.

Defeating the Celtics when they are down counts the same as defeating them at full strength. The Knicks need to take advantage of the opportunity being given to them and steal a victory at TD Garden.
