The Brooklyn Nets face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on November 9th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch.

The Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks renew their rivalry tonight. It will be the first of four meetings this season. The Nets enter the game with a surprising 3-4 record, but are 0-2 on the road. The Knicks enter 2-4 with a 1-2 record at Madison Square Garden.

The Nets come into the game with some momentum. They defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves last night and have won two of their last three games. The Knicks dropped their last game to the Utah Jazz Sunday afternoon.

Tonight’s matchup will not have as much luster with point guard Jeremy Lin sidelined. Lin is dealing with a hamstring injury and will be out at least another week or so. In his place the Nets have been starting rookie Isaiah Whitehead and using Sean Kilpatrick off the bench.

More from Brooklyn Nets

Veteran Randy Foye made his season debut last night against the Timberwolves. But, the Nets must be confident in the players that they have as Greivis Vasquez was waived tonight. Vasquez is dealing with an ankle injury and signed a one-year, $4.3 million deal with the Nets this offseason.

Whoever is playing point guard for the Nets will have their hands full with a resurgent Derrick Rose. Rose has looked good thus far for the Knicks as some of his explosion has certainly returned. He is also getting comfortable in the offense, with 19 assists the last two games after having only 10 in the first four games of the season.

The Knicks are coming together offensively, but the defensive side of the ball is another story. Defense has been a letdown for the Knicks this season, already costing them a number of games as they do not consistently get stops on that end of the floor.

We have seen them play defense for stretches, but they rank 26th in points allowed and opponents shooting percentage. They are 28th in defending the three-point line, as the defensive end has been a mitigated disaster thus far. Teams are feasting in the pick-and-roll against the Knicks as they are clearly working out some of the kinks that were unable to be ironed out with so many players missing training camp.

Will the Nets be able to take advantage of the Knicks shortcomings? Or will the Knicks be able to center in on Brook Lopez and slow down the rest of the Nets as a result? We will have to tune in and see. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game tonight.
