The Tampa Bay Lighting face the New York Islanders at the Barclays Center on November 1st, 2016. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning head on the road to face the New York Islanders for the first time this season. The last time the Lightning and Islanders shared an ice they were playing in the 2016 postseason. The Lightning took that series 4-1 and sent the Islanders home packing from the second round.

The Lightning enter the game with a 5-4-0 record and 10 points. The Islanders come in with eight points and a 4-5-0 record. The Lighting have been stuck on 10 points for a week, as they enter tonight’s game on a three-game losing streak.

Tampa Bay has lost to the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and New York Rangers and were outscored 12-3. Tonight is the last game of their six-game road trip and they will try to end it on a high note by splitting the six games.

“We want to finish the trip on a good note,” forward Alex Killorn said. “I think tonight is a good opportunity for us to kind of go home feeling a little bit better about this road trip. Tonight has to be kind of a turning point for us because the past couple of games haven’t been good for us.”

More from New York Islanders

The Islanders just snapped a two-game losing streak of their own Sunday, defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-1. The Islanders will look to keep things rolling as tonight is the second game on their five-game homestand.

New York will once again be turning to Thomas Greiss in goal. Goalie has been a topic of discussion of late for the Islanders. Jaroslav Halak‘s agent has taken to social media to express his displeasure in the current goaltender situation with the Islanders. Head coach Jack Capuano had a lengthy discussion with Halak before practice Monday.

“I had a good talk with him,” Capuano said. “Just want to get a feel again after it came out in the media a little bit, again, to revisit that to see how he was doing and he’s fine.”

It is a situation to keep an eye on as the season goes on. But the Islanders are comfortable with Griess in goal and he will probably the starter going forward. Can he duplicate Sunday’s performance? Tune in and find out as we have all the information you need to watch the game.
