The New York Islanders face the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena on October 27th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins face off tonight for the first time this season. The Islanders come into the game with a record of 3-4-0, while the Penguins enter with a record of 4-2-1.

This is the second night of a back-to-back set for the Islanders. They lost last night at Barclays Center against the Montreal Canadiens 3-2. It snapped a two-game winning streak and ended their five-game homestand on a low note. The Penguins won their last game Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers 3-2.

The Penguins got a huge boost in that game as Sidney Crosby was on the ice for the first time all season. Crosby suffered a concussion in practice October 7th and missed the first six games of the season as a result. Crosby netted a power-play goal in his first action of the season.

More from New York Islanders

While Crosby returned to the ice Tuesday, the Penguins will still be without defenseman Kris Letang. Letang is set to miss his fourth consecutive game after sustaining an upper-body injury against the Canadiens on October 18th.

The Islanders could be without forward Nikolay Kulemin. Kulemin suffered an upper-body injury over the weekend against the Minnesota Wild and missed last night’s game against the Canadiens. He was forced from Tuesday’s practice early so it would seem his chances of suiting up tonight are slim. The Islanders did not have a morning skate Thursday so there are no updates on his status. The Islanders are expected to start Jaroslav Halak in goal as well.
