New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers

The New York Giants will travel to historic Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. The teams will be facing off under the bright lights in prime time on Sunday Night Football. The Giants enter the game with a 2-2 record, losing two games in a row. The Packers are 2-1, coming off their bye week last week.

It has been a rough two weeks for the Giants, who have fallen to the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings. Their offense has fallen apart without Rashad Jennings, who has missed the last two games with a hand injury and looks doubtful for tonight.

The Packers know first hand how tough the Vikings are to play against, as they lost to them in Week 2. This is an important game in the long run, as both the Giants and Packers look to factor into the NFC Playoff picture at the end of the season. With the surprisingly strong play from the NFC East, this is almost a must-win game for the Giants as a three-game losing streak is something they want to avoid.

How can they avoid that losing streak? Here are some keys to the game.

Keys To The Game

More from New York Giants

How will Odell Beckham Jr. react this week? He has become the center of attention on and off the field for the Giants whether he deserves it or not. Last season he had arguably the worst game of his career against the Vikings and will look to bounce back against the Packers.

If Beckham Jr. and Eli Manning are to get things going, this is a good week. The Packers have a weak secondary, and will be without Sam Shields. This is nowhere near as daunting a defense as the Vikings, and if they don’t get going against them who knows when they will.

On the flip side, the Giants will have a much tougher time defensively. The Vikings are a slow, grind it out team; the Packers can keep up with anyone with Aaron Rodgers under center. Rodgers hasn’t gotten things clicking yet, but there are weapons with Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy.

Can the Giants defense step up and slow down Rodgers and company? Forcing some turnovers and getting to the quarterback would be a nice change of pace for the Giants.

Prediction

The Giants are desperate to get back into the win column. They have had poor performances for two straight weeks and have been in the news for the wrong reasons. Can they get things together against the Packers?

Lambeau Field is a difficult place to play, but Manning and the Giants have found some success there. Manning has won four straight games against the Packers, including two playoff appearances at Lambeau Field.
