It was a disappointing first week of the season for the New York Jets as they lost to the Cincinnati Bengals. A win against the Bengals would have certainly been a good start to the season for the Jets, but it wasn’t in the cards.

Despite the loss, the Jets did a lot of things well against the Bengals. On offense, Matt Forte played excellent in his debut, as he had a much larger workload than anyone could have expected. In addition to Forte on offense, wide receiver Quincy Enunwa also had an outstanding game.

On defense, the Jets absolutely crushed quarterback Andy Dalton, sacking him seven times. The Jets’ defensive line was arguably the most impressive aspect of their team in Week 1, and that was without Sheldon Richardson.

While the defensive line was great, their star cornerback was not. Darrelle Revis was unable to contain A.J. Green of the Bengals, and that was a contributing factor in the loss. Green totaled nearly 200 receiving yards against the Jets’ defense, which is inexcusable.

In Week 2, the Jets are going to be out for revenge. Last season against the Bills some of the worst points of the Jets season. On a short week, here are five Jets to watch as the Jets try to avoid a 0-2 start.
