The New York Giants will be playing the Snoopy Bowl Saturday night, taking on their MetLife Stadium co-tenant New York Jets. The Giants are looking for their first preseason win of the season, as they have gone 0-2 thus far. The Jets will be entering the game 1-1, losing their last game to the Washington Redskins.

This is usually a fun game for the fans, as the starters will see extended playing time on the field. Usually, the regulars play a handful of plays before exiting, but tonight we should see multiple series from the first team players.

For the Giants, this is an important game from an evaluation standpoint. There are still some things to work out on the depth chart as playing time is still up for grabs. Also, the first team has not seen much time together, so building some chemistry would be nice as the offense has been stuck in the mud all summer.

More from New York Giants

Could the addition of Victor Cruz alleviate some of those problems? Eli Manning’s former No.1 target is expected to take the field for the first time since October 2014, as Ben McAdoo expressed optimism for Cruz getting on the field.

Cruz, if he is able to get onto the field, will be one of the players to keep an eye on during the game. He will not be the only one to watch, as the Giants have a number of players still trying to move into a more prominent role with the team.

Who are some of the other players and units to keep an eye on Saturday night? Check out our slideshow of five players to watch on the Giants tonight when they take the field against the Jets in their regular season rehearsal.
