With the All-Star break here, the New York Mets are looking up at the Washington Nationals in the standings of the NL East. Coming into the season, there was a lot of expectations for the Mets after their trip to the World Series last season. The Mets will be heading into the All-Star break trailing the Nationals by six games in the NL East, as they have a 47-41 record.

Having one of the best starting rotations in baseball was suppose to propel the Mets to great things in 2016, but injuries have caught up to their young arms. The Mets will officially be without pitcher Matt Harvey for the rest of the season, as he has opted to have surgery on his arm.

With the pitching staff hurting, the Mets will be counting on their lineup to improve in the second half of the season. Similar to last season, the Mets’ lineup has been really poor at times this season, and there have been a few players that have really under-performed.

Since the All-Star break is here, these are six players that have been disappointments for the Mets in the first half of the season.
