The New York Knicks season ended weeks ago, but the 2015-16 season has officially finished up with the Cleveland Cavaliers defeating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. It was a magical run for the LeBron James ran Cavaliers, as he won his third NBA title, snapping a 52-year streak for the city of Cleveland.

James is further cementing his legacy among the NBA greats with his latest NBA Finals victory, and could be looking at another big decision this summer. James has an opportunity to opt-out this summer and become a free agent again.

The most common thought is that James will sign another short-term contract, continuing to maximize his earnings on the court while making a boat load of money off of it as well. There aren’t many people that believe James will leave Cleveland once again, but now that he has won the title that he promised the city, could he be bound for another city?

More from New York Knicks

It is tough to imagine James leaving behind his quasi-hometown, as he did in the summer of 2010 when he went to South Beach to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat. But, if James were to skip out on Cleveland again, where would he go?

Every team in the NBA would lineup a pitch to bring James to town, including the Knicks. Despite the down years the Knicks have had recently, such as missing the postseason for three straight years and having a franchise-worst 17 wins during the 2014-15 season, there is still a lot of intrigue to joining the Knicks.

But, there has been rumors that James would consider the Knicks this summer. Why would James be interested in coming to the Knicks? Here are five reasons why we believe that James should consider the Knicks when he becomes a free agent this season.
