The New York Mets have one of the best rotations in baseball, and that rotation might be more famous for their hair than anything else.

Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard are two of the best pitchers in the majors, as the tall right-handers helped the New York Mets reach the World Series last season. Since being called up, much of the talk about deGrom has been with his awesome flow. Until Syndergaard was called up last season, deGrom dominated the hair game for the Mets, but Syndergaard has given him a run for his money as a Thor look-a-like.

Neither pitcher has landed the big contract yet with the Mets, but they have both signed a deal to represent Axe Hair. Many know Axe for their deodorant products, but they are also in the hair business with shampoos, conditioners, and styling gels. The company’s hope is that deGrom and Syndergaard will be good faces to the hair side of their company.

The company writes in the announcement via ESPN.com: “Throughout the summer, AXE Hair will take fans inside Syndergaard and deGrom’s styling routines and other little-known talents to show guys that they’re not just a pretty hairstyle. After all, no one thing defines you — and styling your hair is just another simple skill that makes you unique.”

While many will debate who the better pitcher is, but Syndergaard is willing to admit that deGrom has the better flow.

“He might have the better of the two hair,” Thor said.

Added deGrom: “I’d have to agree with that.”

Look forward to a summer of seeing a lot of ads with two of the Mets’ star pitchers.
