The New York Knicks will be without Lance Thomas and Kevin Seraphin tonight, while Carmelo Anthony is also a game-time decision against the Sacramento Kings.

The New York Knicks are set to play the Sacramento Kings tonight at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks will be on a second night of a back-to-back after losing to the Washington Wizards last night 99-89. Having all hands on deck tonight should be nice then, but it will not be the case for the Knicks who will be without a couple of mainstays in their regular rotation.

Reserve forward Lance Thomas has missed six consecutive games, and he will make it seven on Sunday. Thomas is dealing with a knee injury and has not been able to take the court since March 5th against the Detroit Pistons. He will once again be sitting out tonight against the Kings, leaving the Knicks without their top reserve on the wings.

With Thomas once again being sidelined, the Knicks will have to rely on Derrick Williams more off the bench. Williams has been a mixed bag for the Knicks recently, scoring under 10 points in his last three games after scoring in double-figures in four straight games prior to that.

Williams could find himself in the starting lineup though, as Carmelo Anthony is considered questionable for tonight’s game. Anthony was experiencing migraines as early as the first quarter against the Wizards last night, yet was able to play 40 minutes in the game. But, interim head coach Kurt Rambis said that Anthony has still been experiencing some sensitivity to light and may not be able to take the court tonight. He will be a game-time decision, which makes his availability extremely questionable.

While Anthony is considered questionable for the game, the Knicks know for sure that they will be without backup big man Kevin Seraphin. He will join Thomas on the sidelines for tonight’s game, as he is dealing with a sore left foot.

With Seraphin sidelined for tonight’s contest, expect Kyle O’Quinn to get minutes off the bench behind Kristaps Porzingis and Robin Lopez. The starting tandem should also see an uptick in minutes, as Seraphin has been in and out of the Knicks’ rotation since Rambis took over as head coach.

In addition to the three players listed on the injury report, starting point guard Jose Calderon is also dealing with some ailments. After experiencing soreness in his calf against the Golden State Warriors, Calderon injured his ankle against the Wizards last night. He is expected to play, but he could be sidelined once again at any moment.

On a positive note, Cleanthony Early has been activated for tonight’s game. It will be the first time he is active and with the Knicks since December 30th when he was shot in the knee during a robbery. If Anthony indeed sits this one out, Early could find himself with a couple minutes tonight.
