The New York Jets had a very good team in 2015, as they totaled a 10-6 record, and just narrowly missed making the playoffs.

It wasn’t long ago that the Jets had a miserable record and year in 2014, but Mike Maccagnan andTodd Bowlesturned things around in 2015. In the offseason, Maccagnan made a few big trades to acquireBrandon MarshallandRyan Fitzpatrick.

Acquiring the star receiver and veteran quarterback really turned things around for the Jets’ offense, as Marshall andEric Deckerbecame one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL. Fitzpatrick had his best season of his career and made Jets fans forget all aboutGeno Smith.

Free agency was key for the Jets last season, as Maccagnan was able to address all the holes in the secondary left behind by John Idzik. The moves to signDarrelle Revis,Antonio Cromartie, andBuster Skrinehad mixed results, but it was surely an upgrade over what they had.

Heading into 2016, the Jets have a few key players that are set to be free agents, as Maccagnan and Bowles will have to make some tough decisions this offseason.
