Odell Beckham Jr. will be in the record books once again, as he took down yet another long standing NFL record Sunday afternoon in the New York Giants’ victory over the Buffalo Bills.

The New York Giants were able to pick up their second consecutive victory Sunday afternoon, going on the road the defeating the Buffalo Bills 24-10. It was a tough, hard fought victory that the Giants earned as they were the more disciplined team that got the job done when they needed to. What was impressive about the win was that the offense was able to get the job done without Odell Beckham Jr. having an otherworldly game. While Beckham Jr. may not have dominated, he did find himself in the record books once again when it was all said and done.

Sunday’s game against the Bills marked the 16th game of Beckham Jr.’s career. It has been nothing short of astounding, as Beckham Jr. has quickly turned himself into a household name. His catch against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football last season will forever remain in football lore, but he has accomplished other things thus far in his career for fans to remember him by.

More from New York Giants

Beckham Jr. has a laundry list of accomplishments and records through the first 16 games of his career. He holds 24 Giants records already, virtually rewriting the Giants rookie wide receiver record book as his 1,305 yards and 91 receptions are both Giants rookie records. To add to that, he has another 29 NFL records to his name that he either tied or is the sole owner of.

Well, you can add one more to the NFL records total after Sunday. Despite only catching five passes for 38 yards, Beckham Jr. set the 16-game NFL record for receiving yards. Through his first 16 games as a professional, Beckham Jr. has totaled 1,612 yards on 166 receptions. Beckham Jr. surpassed the record set by Houston Oilers’ Bill Groman in 1960-61.

Beckham Jr. will not take anyone for surprise this season, but he has proven to be just as tough to stop even with teams scheming to slow him down. Through four games this season, Beckham Jr. has totaled 308 yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions as he has been tough to slow down once again.

As long as Beckham Jr. is on the field, the Giants will have one of the more dangerous offensive units in the NFL and records, for both the team and NFL, will continue to fall courtesy of Beckham Jr. We also have the pleasure of seeing him make plays like this:
