The New York Giants will be traveling to take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. After defeating the Washington Redskins in Week 3, the 1-2 Giants will be looking to keep the momentum going against the 2-1 Bills, who are coming off a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins. The Giants are going to be getting some help on the field this week, but they will also be without some key players as well.

For starters, Victor Cruz was expected to make his 2015 debut. He was practicing more and more last week, and was going to be a part of practice Wednesday. But, Cruz was unable to make it through even the beginning of practice Wednesday and was removed. It was announced later that Cruz suffered a setback with his calf injury, and he will be sidelined indefinitely again for rehab. He received a platelet-rich-plasma injection, and it usually takes between 2-6 weeks to kick in. So, that gives a rough timetable return for Cruz but it is looking less and less likely that he will make an impact this season with every passing week.

Joining Cruz on the sideline will be defensive end Robert Ayers. Ayers has been the most, and arguably only, pass rushing threat the Giants have had thus far this season. He is the only player with a consistent role on the defense with a positive pass rushing grade, as converted fullback Nikita Whitlock has the only other positive pass rushing grade, but his is in only nine plays. With Ayers sidelined, the Giants could be in trouble trying to get to the elusive Tyrod Taylor, who is as dangerous with his legs as much as his arms.

In addition to Cruz and Ayers, the Giants also announced that defensive tackle Markus Kuhn and tight end Jerome Cunningham will be out. Kuhn will be missing his third straight game, while it will be two straight for Cunningham as both are dealing with knee issues.

On the bright side for the Giants, they will be getting back top cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Rodgers-Cromartie missed Week 3 against the Redskins because he could not get through the NFL concussion protocol quick enough as it was a Thursday night game. He has been cleared and practicing fully, and is listed as probable.

Also probable against the Bills is defensive end Owa Odighizuwa. The rookie defensive end looks like he will be making his NFL debut against the Bills, as he missed the first three games of the season with a foot injury. Odighizuwa could help the Giants lackluster pass rush, as he showed well during the preseason and is looking to continue that into the regular season.

Rounding out the Giants injury report will be Orleans Dwarka (knee) is probable, Daniel Fells (ankle) is questionable after practicing for the first time this week, and rookie tackle Ereck Flowers (ankle) is also questionable. The Giants could really use both Fells and Flowers, as they are key blockers in their game plan, and not having either will leave the Giants more vulnerable to the vaunted Bills pass rush.

The Bills will also have some key players missing Sunday afternoon. Starting running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring), wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf) and safety Aaron Williams (neck) are all out. Also out is offensive lineman John Miller (groin) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ribs). Rounding out the injury report for the Bills are four probable players; linebacker Preston Brown (hamstring), kicker Dan Carpenter (left knee), wide receiver Percy Harvin (hip) and quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ankle).
