The New York Islanders had a very successful 2014-15 season which was their final season in the Nassau Coliseum.

In their final season in the Coliseum, the Islanders were able to make the playoffs despite limping in down the stretch. The first round matchup against the Washington Capitals was a great series that went seven exciting games and was a great learning experience for the Islanders’ young core.

In the 2015-16 season, things are going to be drastically different with the move to Brooklyn, but the roster from last season is still intact.

There were some great memories for the Islanders in the Nassau Coliseum, as they won four Stanley Cups in a row. Those memories and their history will never be forgotten, but the move to Brooklyn allows them to make new memories in their new and improved home.

The Islanders come into the 15-16 season with expectations of making the playoffs again led by their captain John Tavares. General Manager Garth Snow has built a very good team to surround his superstar, and this could be the year that Tavares and the Islanders make some noise in the playoffs.

Before the new season begins, let’s look back at who were the 10 best players for the Islanders in the 2014-15 season.
