This week in our MLB Power Rankings, we see the New York Yankees barely hold onto their spot in our top-10. They haven’t played poorly, but they haven’t played well either as some teams continue to jump over them, yet some struggle and fall behind them as well.

For the rest of the rankings, we see a team used to being at the bottom shoot up, as they are on an MLB best eight game winning streak, using that to jump from our cellar easily. We also see a top team in the St. Louis Cardinals having a losing week for what seems like the first time this season; will that drop them from the top spot in our power rankings?

Being the last week before the All-Star break, every team will have a chance to finish the first half on a high note, but half of them will end it on a low one. Which ones will it be? We won’t know until next week. But until then, check out our MLB Power Rankings as we head into Week 14 of the MLB season.

30. Philadelphia Phillies (28-56) The Phillies just keep losing. This week they had a six-game losing streak before taking the finale on Sunday against the Braves. This team is going nowhere, and the trade rumors should continue to be rampant as we get closer and closer to July 31st. The road trip heading into the All-Star break could get ugly as they will visit the Dodgers and Giants.

29. Colorado Rockies (34-47) It was another tough week for the Rockies, who lost five games and were the losers in three consecutive series. The Rockies are just not that great of a team outside of hitting, as their pitching staff leaves much to be desired. Troy Tulowitzki is tearing it up at the plate, hitting in 18 straight games. Nolan Arenado, D.J. LeMahieu are also performing well, and will keep the Rockies in any game. But, ultimately, this team will not gain any traction until they can get consistent production from their pitching staff.

28. Cincinnati Reds (36-44) Things have been rough recently for the Reds, who have been swept in two of their last three series. They are only 1.5 games ahead of the Brewers now as well, as they were swept by them this past weekend. With how well the Cardinals, Pirates and Cubs are playing ahead of them, they could start shipping guys out quickly after the All-Star break at their home stadium. Johnny Cueto, Mike Leake and Aroldis Chapman could all be moved from the pitching staff, along with Todd Frazier on the offensive side.
