In the NFL, the quarterback position is easily the most important position on the field, and the New York Jets have had a difficult time finding great ones.

New York has had just one Championship in their franchise history, and a main reason for that was because they had a great quarterback at the time. In recent years, the Jets have tried to win with one of the all-time greats in Brett Favre.

Despite Favre being a Hall-of-Famer one day, his short stint with the Jets didn’t even result in a trip to the playoffs. The Jets have also recently attempted to draft a franchise quarterback in the NFL Draft. In 2009 NFL Draft, the Jets selected quarterback Mark Sanchez with the sixth-overall pick.

Things would start out great for Sanchez and the Jets, as they made the AFC Championship Game in his first two seasons. Much of the Jets’ success in those two year’s was because of their great defense and running game. Sanchez regressed after his first two seasons with the Jets, and is no longer with the team.

The Jets will continue to try and find their next great quarterback, but until that happens, we’ll look at the Top-5 quarterbacks in franchise history.

Here are the Top-5 quarterbacks of all-time for the Jets!
