EWB's Monday Links: 2.3

So after weeks and weeks of coverage and anticipation of the Super Bowl in our backyard, between the top seed in their respective conferences, it’s safe to say the game itself was a disappointment. Admittedly, I was rooting for Denver (just because I wanted to see Peyton win another ring, nothing against Seattle) so it was ugly to watch from the very first snap, which resulted in a safety. Even though the weather behaved much better than expected, it just kept pouring on Peyton’s parade as Denver was held to just 8 points and was the topic of my personal favorite tweet from the entire game, from former Met Fernando Tatis:

With football on hold for a few months, our focus as fans turns to basketball, hockey and eventually baseball. As things shape up on the diamond for both the Mets and Yankees, the Knicks and Islanders continue to fight through the problems they’ve had all season while the Nets and Rangers keep strengthening up down the stretch. Not to mention, the 2014 Winter Olympics begin later this month in Sochi and our hockey teams have quite a few members participating; the site has been doing profiles for all the players selected from NY teams so be sure to check those out. But before I ramble too much, here are the first post-football season Monday links:
