According to Pro Football Talk, New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz may be put on season-ending injured reserve, which will cut his season short. The receiver sustained a concussion and a sprained knee in a home loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15.

At this point, with the Giants’ season long gone, the organization should make this move to protect its asset; Cruz is set to make $15.6 million this year and next (five-year deal for $43 million), so I don’t think they’d be willing to put Cruz out there and risk losing him to a serious injury.

Is Cruz’s season is over, the receiver will finish the season with 73 receptions for 998 yards and four touchdowns, making it the first season in his three-year career that he’s fallen short of the 1,000-yard mark.
